My Clarity of Purpose

May 20, 2023

It's been a long time since I added anything to my blog, and here's my current reason why: The past year has been a very busy one for me, where I am working long days pretty consistently. I started a new job for the San Diego Unified School District as a College, Career and Technical Education … [Read more...]

First Thoughts

June 16, 2016

I remember a handsome young man, in a loose shirt, white and wide of collar. He had a green vest that was the color of his eyes. He stabbed me in the stomach with a foam covered sword, from quarters unrecognized. As I said “ow” all combat stopped, concerned that I had actually been hurt. Combat … [Read more...]

Brett

Day 12 Prompt: Love Pick one person* - living - who you love. Describe them. My husband Brett is probably an obvious choice for this. We've known each other for 26 years and through that time we have grown and changed. We've become better people within the sacred space in which we hold and … [Read more...]

Ho’oponopono

April 6, 2016

We were just talking about the Ho'oponopono after the Prayer/Meditation group today and in my mail's inbox I received an email directing me to information on the Ho'oponopono. I was hit with a big impression that this will help me. So for the next thirty days I will be performing the Ho'oponopono … [Read more...]

About Me

I am a web developer, designer and educator. Currently, I teach JavaScript at Platt College, how to use WordPress to my fellows at my Fellowship and anything I can to anyone – from how to do divination to how to crochet. I really enjoy helping people out by passing on my knowledge, so much so I decided to become a teacher in our public schools. I am working on clearing my CTE Credential and am qualified to teach in both Arts, Media and Entertainment (AME) and Information Communication Technologies (ICT).

I taught Flash and ActionScript, PHP and MySQL, and Responsive Design at Platt College as well. I also taught JavaScript I at UCSD Extension and have taught Introduction to Programming for the University of San Diego’s Accelerated Summer Academic Program for a number of years.

I am an advocate for women in STEM and the practice of Tai Chi for health and self-defense.

My other interests include Writing, Wicca, Art, Gaming, and Autism.

Tonight I lifted my hands and worshiped the moon for no reason other than it was there. Some things are that simple and they should never, never be made complicated. - Christopher Poindexter
